As you might remember AWID had been closely following the trial of Kemal Ordek, trans sex work activist in Turkey, who had been assaulted and raped on July 5th 2015. Following their first trial we were appalled to see that the court decided to release the 3 perpetrators pending trial.
Kemal’s next hearing will be on the 26th of January. We’d much appreciate if you can provide support through signing the below petition. I have spoken with Kemal’s lawyer and she assured me that all signatures accumulated will be delivered to the public prosecuter to be included in the case file.
