Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said writing in favour of unnatural sex amounts to criminal offence as per the law.

“Our society does not allow any movement that promotes unnatural sex. Writing in favour of it is tantamount to criminal offence as per our law.

“We do not want any killing in the country and our government has adopted every kind of measures required to stop the killings,” said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

The home minister made the statement in the Secretariat on Thursday following a meeting with a delegation led by US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal. The delegation included US Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat.

The minister also said the constitution prohibits writing anything hurts any religions and one cannot carry out attack on any belief.

In reply to a query, Kamal said the government was alert enough to the link between local and any global organisations, and the law-enforcement agencies are active to thwart such link building move.

He reiterated that there is no organisational structure of IS or al-Qaeda in the country.
