Give up flattering to political leaders: Sultana Kamal

Eminent human rights activist, lawyer Sultana Kamal, today observed that Bangladesh’s political leaders believe themselves to be the flatterer who does not " 39 is not seen elsewhere in the world

She also urged political activists to give up the habit of flattering by taking the condition of the masses considered.

The rights activist launched this appeal by addressing a program marking the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination at the National Press Club in Dhaka

.

Bangladesh Dalit Parishad organized the program in association with the Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF).

She also mentioned that discrimination against the people of the Dalit community is still ongoing after 46 years of independence of the country.

The Executive Director of the SDM, Shaheen Anam, urged legislators to put the draft of the Discrimination Elimination Act 2015 and forward it to Parliament for the benefit of the community’s population

Bangladesh Dalit Parishad Advisor Milon Das chaired the program while human rights activist Hamida Hossain, Nijera Kori coordinator Khushi Kabir, lawmakers Momtaz Begum, Hosne Ara Lutfa, Rustom Ali Farazi Among others, spoke to the program.
