Father of Julian Assange, John Shipton, said his son’s extradition to the United States will be like a “death sentence” for the WikiLeaks founder.

WikiLeaks editor-in-chief, Kristinn Hrafnsson, has asked the politicians for their support in the trial of Julian Assange while two Australian MPs’ have called on the UK to block the extradition of him to the US, before the start of an extradition hearing next week in London.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange’s lawyer Jennifer Robinson, Wikileaks editor-in-chief Kristin Hrafnsson, Australian MPs George Christensen, and Andrew Wilkie, as well as Director of the Foreign Press Association Deborah Bonetti, have attended a press conference on the extradition trial that is due to begin next week in London.
