PUCL condemns the brutal attack on Indian origin author Salman Rushdie on August 13, 2022 in a literary event in the US. The PUCL stands for freedom of speech and expression. Since 1988 we continue to demand the ban be withdrawn on Satanic Verses. We wish him speedy recovery
