Secular Rescue stands with endangered nonbelievers around the world. Will you?

December 10 is recognized around the world as Human Rights Day. The theme this year is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All.” Those are wonderful ideals, enjoyed by far too few across the globe. Secular Rescue works to improve (and often to save) the lives of atheists and nonbelievers living in places that would deny them freedom, justice, or safety.

As we look back on the past year of our humanitarian efforts worldwide, we are stunned and humbled by the number of requests for assistance we received in 2022. For those on the run from hatred, religious zealots, faith-obsessed family members, and accusations of “blasphemy,” relocation is the safest path out of danger—but it is often rife with other perils.

Secular Rescue works hard to save lives and to provide aid and guidance at both ends of the trip. I am incredibly proud to know that Secular Rescue was able to bring peace, safety, and hope to so many hunted and hated secular minorities and activists in 2022. And none of it would have been possible without support from people like you.

Thanks to your compassion and generosity, we were able to provide safe outcomes for dozens of secularists and progressive change-makers who otherwise might not be here today.

No one should be denied life, liberty, or dignity because of their religious beliefs or nonbelief. As we look ahead to the new year, Secular Rescue will continue to help all those we can, support those who seek guidance, and do everything possible to save endangered atheists and ex-Muslims from death or prison.
