Iran: URGENT ACTION for Soheil Arabi !

4 February day of action for Soheil Arabi

Hello

Thank you once again for your willingness to support the political sponsorship of Soheil Arabi.

We recently received an update on Soheil; our sources have informed us that he was beaten so severely during his arrest that he suffered a heart attack and was immediately taken to Imam Sajjad hospital. He was then transferred to Greater Tehran prison and still refused the medication that he needs.

In order to raise awareness of Soheil’s case and exert pressure on the regime to release him, we are organizing a day of action for Soheil on February 4^th, the International Day of Human Fraternity.

We are encouraging coalition members to organize public protests on this day. Here is an example:

DAY OF ACTION TO #FREESOHEIL

London, 5:30-6:30 pm, Russell Square

40 atheist, ex-Muslim and secularist organisations that have taken on Soheil Arabi’s political sponsorship are calling for a day of action on International Day of Human Fraternity. Join us in highlighting his case and bringing pressure to secure his release. The action is organised by the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain and One Law for All.

Please let us know if you plan to organize a protest on this day.

In lieu of organizing a protest, we are asking coalition members to ask their supporters/members to post a photo of themselves with a sign using the hashtags #FreeSoheil #SoheilArabi.

Can we also ask what other measures you are taking as an organisation to highlight his case to government officials, and also media outlets? Please be advised that Soheil knows about this sponsorship and appreciates the support.

The ultimate goal of this day of action and other activities we each do as individual organisations will help keep Soheil’s case in the spotlight. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you require any assistance or have any questions.
