A new song called ’Free Assange’ by Lowkey, featuring Mai Khalil and The Grime Violinist, has been released on the 20th anniversary of the Iraq War, as part of States of Violence, a collaboration between a/political, WikiLeaks and the Wau Holland Foundation.
The video features a clip from ’Collateral Murder’ released by WikiLeaks on the 5th of April 2010. It shows a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad — including two Reuters news staff and his rescuers

New London exhibition exploring theme of ’States of Violence’ including the contribution to history of WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assang.
Artists, investigative journalists and fashion icons will unveil and oppose techniques of government oppression alongside the largest-ever physical publication of top secret government cables. Opening this Friday, States of Violence will feature a number of artists from around the world with a focus on truth and justice, including art from Vivienne Westwood, Ai Wei Wei, Forensic Architecture and more.
The exhibition is free to all and will be showing between 24 March and 8 April at

Everyone is a Target: The Case of Julian Assange
On 29 March join a/political and WikiLeaks for a special live edition of Truth to Power hosted by hip hop artist and activist Lowkey. Lowkey will be joined by human rights lawyer and wife of Julian, Stella Assange as well as co-founder and chief of investigations at Declassified UK, Matt Kennard.
This discussion is part of the public programming for States of Violence, an exhibition in collaboration with WikiLeaks and the Wau Holland Foundation.

Beat The System
a/political and WikiLeaks present: BEAT THE SYSTEM on 08 April at EartH Hackney as the closing event for the States of Violence exhibition at a/political. The night brings together artists and musicians to raise awareness around the importance of press freedom and to empower the public to create positive change.
