Supporters of Julian Assange gathered outside the Ecuadorian Embassy in Knightsbridge on the fourth anniversary the WikiLeaks publisher was seized from the premises (April 11).
It was also close to the 13th anniversary the infamous footage of U.S. troops firing on a group of civilians, including two Reuters journalists, was relased by the group, causing outrage worldwide.
Scottish blogger and former diplomat Craig Murray, and Assange’s former volunteer bodyguard Ciaron O’Reilly were amongst those who spoke at the protest gathering.
Murray made extraordinary claims about the extraction of Assange from the embassy by the British authorities and commenting on the hypocracy of the West as governments criticised the detention of journalist Evan Gershkovich, but not that of Julian Assange.
