Hyderabad: Saffron activists on Thursday held demonstrations in Andhra Pradesh and forced young men and women who celebrated Valentine’s Day to get ‘married’.

Bajrang Dal, VHP and other saffron outfits also held rallies condemning the celebration of Valentine’s Day.

The organisations had already announced that they would ‘counsel’ boys and girls, if they are minors, and not hesitate to perform ‘marriages’ if couples are majors.

Meanwhile, authorities in Hyderabad on Thursday kept major parks closed as a “precautionary measure†.

The city police warned that they would take action against those who try to take law into their hands.
