Addressing the Muslim community, the Indian Muslims for Secular Democracy - IMSD reminded that Blasphemy laws are unacceptable in a secular liberal constitutional democracy. Right-wing groups and trolls had made communal hashtags viral, but citizens have rejected the absurd call to socially boycott an entire community.

They have now spread to include large sections of the working class and the poor.
