When a terrorist was allowed to go inside the Peter and Paul church and blow it up, the Coptic youth raged at the flagrant security failings and demanded the sacking of the interior minister. But al-Sisi intervened to prevent any talk of failings and naturally did not sack his interior minister. And now terrorists were able to attack a church barely a week after a bomb was discovered outside that same church! Here the security failings and the lack of accountability have become complicity with the crime.

USA: Dear liberals, don’t assume people of colour will solve all your problems
29 November 2018, by siawi3Tracking demographic shifts is the terrain of the right. So why do so many liberals and progressives do just that? The assumption is that a more diverse America is destined to create a progressive wave that will deliver Democratic party victories.

Sri Lanka: Aberrant Behaviour Of The Sinhalese People & En Bloc Resignation
19 June 2019, by siawi3What the most respected venerables failed to do is to unequivocally condemn the violence perpetrated by the Sinhala Buddhist extremists. The desecration of nearly 30 Muslim mosques. The multiple attacks and destruction of Muslim business premises, torching of houses and properties. Also, they have failed to take note of the ongoing, consistent and deliberate hate campaign in the social media. They have also not addressed the issue of the deceptive, dishonest and poisonous media which is responsible for creating fear, panic and hatred in the minds of the innocent Sinhala Buddhist people.

India: Kashmir - A coup on the Constitution and Kashmiris
8 August 2019, by siawi3It is pertinent to point out that Article 370 of the Constitution of India is a self contained Article. It determined how the Constitution of India would apply to J&K and also specifically provided for the procedure for the abrogation of Article 370 itself.. The President can pass an order under Article 370 (3), removing article 370 only if the Constituent Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir recommended the same.

USA: Bill Cosby Should Have Been Denounced by Black America Long Ago
11 September 2019, by siawi3Amazingly, the out-of-control, grotesquely self-indulgent comedian was roundly praised for his “courage” in confronting the supposed Black phobia against “airing dirty linen” in public, i.e., within hearing distance of whites. How perverse and ironic! Much of the Black talking classes forgive Cosby’s clear lack of a sense of “personal responsibility” and elementary decorum, precisely because to do otherwise would risk diminishing a Black icon – in front of white people! Better to let Cosby’s insults to African Americans, slide.
And since when was it an act of courage to badmouth poor Black people in America? -
Kashmir: We cannot be selective about the past in Jammu & Kashmir
21 September 2019, by siawi3If we’re going to recall what’s happened to Pandits in 1990, then it’s wrong not to remember what happened to Muslims in Jammu in 1947. Hundreds of thousands were killed or expelled
