  Ex-Muslims are lauded for their bravery and strength and deserve every bit of praise. When all is said and done, each one of us is scarred. I think of us as the first-generation of ex-Muslims. We will pave the way. Every scar on our hearts, our minds, and sometimes our bodies, will be worth it, because the next generation of ex-Muslims will have it easier. We are making sure of that. They will never know what if feels like to be completely alone because we will reach out to them online, no matter where they are on the globe. They will never feel like they are crazy. They will never feel like they are the only one on the planet to ever feel this way. They will never feel like they have no choice but to follow the status quo. We will be their net. And we will be there for them if they happen to fall.

  As long as there is a ‘true Islam’ there will be many willing to kill and die for its imposition. The jihadist monster feeds off the nearest, which includes every Muslim not conforming to violent Islamism, who is excommunicated as ‘untrue’ Muslim. The self-defeating reaction to this is Muslims apostatising ISIS, instead of making the idea of ‘true Muslim’ redundant.

  Mes parents n’étaient pas des monstres. Juste des Musulmans qui tenaient à élever leurs enfants dans le respect de leur religion. Je garde d’ailleurs très peu de rancune pour tout ce qu’ils ont pu me faire subir. Ce n’est pas à eux que j’en veux. Ceux contre qui ma colère se porte, ce sont les hommes qui dirigent mon pays. Ce sont eux qui en ont fait un enfer en sacrifiant cette terre meurtrie à une idéologie liberticide et mortifère. Ils ont laissé l’islamisme s’y installer, et pire encore, s’incruster peu à peu dans notre vie quotidienne au point qu’aujourd’hui, il la gouverne totalement.

  Der Begriff „Islamophobie“ wurde von Vertretern des sogenannten „radikalen Islam“ erfunden und verbreitet. Schon darum sollte man ihn am besten nicht verwenden. Die Argumentation seiner Erfinder läuft auf Folgendes hinaus: Wenn man radikale Islamisten, ihre Weltsicht, ihre Handlungen und ihre Verbrechen kritisiert, beziehe sich diese Kritik auf den Islam und nicht auf ihre Positionen. Daraus leiten sie dann das Recht zur Selbstverteidigung ab, und zwar auch unter Einsatz von Gewalt. Sie erklären sich selbst zu den einzig legitimen Vertretern des Islam. Alle, die ihre Meinung nicht teilen, sind für sie „Ungläubige“ („kufr“), die den Tod verdienen.

  The Enlightenment was not a theological project, but a political one. Its leaders sought not to change the contents of the Bible, but to change the relation between the state authorities and religious authorities. Forget being a moderate this or that, what is required are immoderate people willing to take extraordinary risks to change the world and make it a better place.

  L’assassinat d’un prêtre de 86 ans à Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray constitue une ligne rouge qui doit pousser les instances religieuses de l’islam à mettre leurs fidèles dans la rue. Notre colère est le début d’une résistance. Si nous continuons à regarder passivement ce qui se trame devant nous, nous serons tôt ou tard complices de ces assassins.
